Found this nice Tokyo 2016 T-shirt when out at Odaiba. Only another couple of weeks to find out whether this will be one of many or a valuable collectors item.

What a fantastic way to remember the long jump and Tokyo 1964.

This photo from Hair Bear demonstrates the length of the record breaking long jump in Tokyo in 1964.

What a way to remember Mary Rand’s wonderful achievement at the 1964 Games in Tokyo.
What an inspiration for others to follow.
Also a fantastic link etched into the pavement connecting the small town of Wells in the UK and Tokyo.

Alongside the clock are some great drawings that have been done by Japanese kids. It looks like they have had some wonderful dreams of watching and maybe participating in the Olympic/Paralympic Games.

Tokyo Tower is a popular symbol for the city.

It was built in 1958, just six years prior to the 1964 Olympics in Tokyo. And is painted white and international orange to comply with air saftey regulations and every five years undergoes a painting makeover.
