Rio de Janeiro was officialy awarded the 2016 Olympic Games today over Tokyo, Chicago and Madrid. Congratulations to Rio for their succesful bid.

Throw That Hammer!

Congratulations to Koji Murofushi who clinched his 15th consecutive title in the men’s hammer throw at the national championships in Japan this past Saturday.
Hammer throwing runs in the Murofushi family – Shigenobu Murofushi, Koji’s father, held the Japanese hammer throw record record for 23 years until it was broken by his son.

Over 800 etegami were displayed in the Tokyo Metropolitan Government office building in Shinjuku and displayed support for the Tokyo 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Bid Committee. The exhibit closed on June 14th and will move to the Osaka Etegami Hall from July 14th to 18th.
